Summer schools are an excellent way to supplement formal education by offering practical and immersive learning experiences. In the case of learning a foreign language and exploring a different culture, summer schools provide an environment that fosters language acquisition, cultural appreciation, and personal growth. Such programs enable students to develop language skills, gain cultural intelligence, and broaden their horizons beyond the classroom. The primary objective of the summer school trip was to enhance the students' proficiency in the Russian language. Through daily language classes, interactive exercises, and real-life conversational practice, the students were able to strengthen their language skills in a practical way.

The summer school trip not only focused on language learning but also offered a unique opportunity for students to experience the rich Russian culture firsthand. Visiting tourist attractions in Irkutsk allowed the students to witness the region's historical landmarks, architectural marvels, and traditional customs. By engaging in cultural activities, such as attending local festivals, exploring museums, visiting the deepest lake in the world 'Lake Baikal’ and interacting with Russian locals, the students gained a deep appreciation for the diverse aspects of Russian culture.

Participating in a summer school trip in a foreign country fosters personal growth and broadens students' perspectives. It encourages them to step out of their comfort zones, adapt to new environments, make new friends from different countries and develop independence and resilience. The exposure to different cultures and languages not only expands their understanding of the world but also promotes tolerance, intercultural communication, and a global mindset. These qualities are essential in an increasingly interconnected and diverse world.
